♥ Anello per S. Valentino – DIY Tutorial

Questo tutorial vi spiegherà passo dopo passo come realizzare da sole un bellissimo anello utilizzando la shrink plastic.

Avrete bisogno di:

• Foglio di Shrink Plastic di colore bianco
• Formina a forma di cuore
• Forbici                                    
• Blocco di carta vetrata fine
• Pennarello indelebile
• Matita colorata
• Vernice protettiva all’acqua
• Colla a presa rapida
• Base per anelli

Ci sono molti tipi di shrink plastic, trasparente, nera, opalina, bianca e anche di alcuni colori. Per questo tutorial ho utilizzato quella bianca.

1. Disegna con un pennarello indelebile la forma del cuore sul foglio di shrink plastic, considerando che si ridurrà circa a metà della sua grandezza iniziale.

2. Ritaglia con le forbici la forma del cuore dalla shrink plastic.

3.  È consigliabile sabbiare la shrink plastic prima di colorarla. Utilizza carta abrasiva fine, scartavetra tutta la superficie prima in una direzione, poi in quella opposta.

4. Disegna prima l’immagine che vuoi ottenere su un pezzo di carta: io ho scelto di disegnare un simpatico cuore ammaccato.

5. Ora puoi ricopiare l’immagine sulla shrink plastic; io ho utilizzato una matita colorata, ma puoi benissimo utilizzare anche un pennarello indelebile.

6. Cuoci il tuo cuore di shrink plastic nel forno preriscaldato a 165 °C circa (troverai comunque le istruzioni sulla confezione). Impiegherà circa 30 secondi a seconda delle dimensioni… è come magia! La plastica inizia ad accartocciarsi, si gira su stessa e infine ritorna piatta da sola. Una volta rimossa dal forno si sarà indurita proprio come un pezzo di plastica.

7. Io di solito proteggo la plastica con una mano di vernice all’acqua. Apllicane uno strato sottile e lascia asciugare. Poi applicane un altro strato e lascia di nuovo asciugare, ripeti quante volte desideri.

 8. Ora basta soltanto incollare il cuore alla base per anelli con una colla a presa rapida. Tieni bene in posizione la base dell’anello sul gioiello per alcuni minuti mentre asciuga.

Ecco qui! Hai un nuovo anello da indossare!

This jewelry making tutorial shows you how to make your own DIY ring using shrink plastic!

You will need:

• ·         White Shrink Plastic Sheet
•     Heart-shaped cutter
•           Scissors
• ·         Sanding Block
• ·         Permanent marker
• ·         Pencil
• ·         Water- based sealant
• ·         Glue
• ·         Ring base

There is variety of shrink plastics out there- clear, frosted, black, white and a variety of colors. I used sheets of white shrink plastic.

1. Draw with a permanent marker  the heart shape, keeping in mind it will shrink about to half the size that it starts out. 

2. Cut out your shape from shrink plastic.

3. It is usually best to sand the shrink plastic prior to stamping/coloring. Use a fine grit sandpaper, sand the entire sheet of shrink plastic one way, then turn and sand it the opposite way.

4. Draw on a white paper the image you want: I drew a nice broken heart. 

5. Now you can copy this image on the shrink plastic; I used a pencil, but you can even use a permanent marker.

6. Bake the plastic in the oven- preheated to 350 degree. It takes about 30 seconds depending on the size and it is just like magic! The plastic shrinks, rolls up in a ball and then flattens out. Once removed from the heat it hardens to plastic.

7. I use to protect the plastic with a coat of sealant (water-based is better).  Apply a relatively thin coat of sealant, let it dry. Then apply another coat and let dry. Repeat as many times as desired.

8. Now you have only to glue the heart to the ring base. Hold the ring base down tightly to the jewelry for a few minutes.

Voila!  A new ring for you to wear!
